If planning to attend the New Kent County Economic Development Authority’s COVID-19 Committee Meeting on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, 9:00 AM at the New Kent County Visitors & Commerce Center, be advised that some changes will be implemented before you will be allowed to enter the building.
The NKC Visitors & Commerce Center is closed to the public for normal business, however, it is required that all of the Economic Development Authority’s meetings be open to the public. The following protective measures will be followed to ensure everyone’s health & safety.
1. Everyone will be screened at a screening table before being allowed to enter the building.
2. You will be asked nine questions & your temperature will be taken using an ear probe thermometer.
3. If you have a high temperature/if your answers to the questions correlate with presenting a risk to the public, you will not be permitted to attend the meeting in person.

The meeting will be streamed live on Facebook for those who are practicing social distancing but still want to watch.

New Kent County Economic Development Authority will go live on Facebook for the Tuesday, May 5, 2020 committee meeting at 9:00 a.m.
You can view via Facebook Live at ( https://www.facebook.com/yesnewkent) during the meeting or watch the meeting in its entirety after the meeting has adjourned.
Note: The Authority’s meetings are open to the public but do not include public comment periods, and are not typically recorded. We hope the use of Facebook Live at this time will encourage the public to continue practicing social distancing, as recommended by health officials, while also allowing for transparency.
