1. How do I register for a Parks and Recreation Program?

Participants can create an account on CIVIC REC by visiting https://secure.rec1.com/VA/new-kent-county-va/catalog and register for a program. Participants can also register by mailing in a registration form  to NKPR, P.O. Box 150, New Kent, VA 23124; in office registration at 11809 New Kent Highway New Kent VA 2314, Suite 4. Registration Forms can be found online or call (804) 966-8502.

2. Which Community Center does the County operate?

The County of New Kent operates the Quinton Community Center, 3041 New Kent Highway. The facility is available for community and private rentals. The rental rate is $30/residents or $50/non-resident hour (or not to exceed $300 day).

3. How do I submit a Program Proposal?

Program Proposals are accepted by seasons (Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer). Please complete the Instructor Program Proposal form found online or call (804) 966-8502. Once we review a proposal, instructors will be notified of acceptance.

4. Where is the Parks and Recreation office?

Our office is located in the Historic School. Park in the front of the school and proceed down the sidewalk and our office building is on the right.  Directly across from the gymnasium entrance.
