Thank you for your interest in serving as an Election Worker with New Kent County.
Please fill out an application in order to provide Human Resources with your information, and allow the County to complete a background check.
If you are selected to work as an Election Worker and your background check has cleared, you will be asked to visit the County’s Human Resources Office. There you will need you to complete the required paperwork in order to be paid for your time and services. This will take approximately 15 minutes. Please bring the following items with you:
- Two forms of ID: Driver’s License and Social Security Card or Birth Certificate. A Passport is also an acceptable ID.
- A voided check to set up direct deposit for your payment.
When you bring these items to Human Resources, you will be asked to complete the following paperwork:
- New Employee Information Sheet
- Signed Offer Letter
- I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification
- Direct Deposit Form
- W-4 Federal Tax Form
- VA-4 State Tax Form
