[ARCHIVED] Options for residents who are interested in vaccination

With the increase of the widespread availability of the COVID-19 vaccine and the closure of the weekly New Kent County COVID Vaccination Clinics at New Kent High School, New Kent County officials are encouraging residents who are interested in being vaccinated to use one of the ways below in order to obtain vaccination.


The VaccineFinder website, which has a searchable map-based tool, allows individuals to find appointments for a COVID-19 vaccine close to their home in New Kent County at a number of pharmacies and medical facilities. It is as easy as going to the website vaccines.gov, putting your zip code in the search bar and choosing the number of miles you would like to search out for vaccine availability.


The Chickahominy Health District is also offereing COVID-19 vaccinations at the New Kent Health Department (7911 Courthouse Way, New Kent, VA 23124) on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesdays of the every month, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments are required, and can be set through the health district's call center at (804) 365-3240.


If you are in need of a COVID-19 vaccination in your home, the health district will come to you. Call (804) 365.3240 to schedule a home vaccination in New Kent County. 


Johnson & Johnson and Moderna are available for anyone 18 or older and Pfizer is available for anyone 12 and older.
