[ARCHIVED] In-person early voting for the November General Election has begun

every vote counts

In-person early voting for the November General Election began Friday, September 22, 2023.

Ballots for New Kent County voters include the races for:

  • Senate of Virginia - 26th District
  • House of Delegates - 60th District or 71st District
  • Clerk of Court
  • Commonwealth's Attorney
  • Sheriff
  • Commissioner of Revenue
  • Treasurer
  • Board of Supervisors - District 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5
  • School Board - District 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5
  • Soil and Water Conservation Director - Colonial District - (2 positions)

Sample ballots for each county-wide District

Voters can cast their ballots in-person at the Health and Human Services Building in the Conference Room (located at 7911 Courthouse Way, New Kent VA 23124) between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday until Friday, November 3. The office will also be open two Saturdays before the election: October 28, 2023 and November 4, 2023.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 7, 2023. To find your polling place for Election Day, visit the polling place app.

Absentee ballots, which will be mailed to those who requested to vote by mail, can be returned to a drop box outside the front doors of the Health & Human Services Building or sent through the mail; postage is prepaid. Ballots sent through the mail must be postmarked by Election Day, November 7, 2023, and received no later than Monday, November 13, 2023.

The last day to register is Monday, October 16, 2023. The last day to request an absentee ballot is Friday, October 27, 2023. To request an absentee ballot or to register to vote, email the General Registrar or call 804-966-9699.
