Virginia's Burn Law is in effect February 15 through April 30. Burning is only permitted between 4 p.m. and midnight. Active burn permits are not exempt from the State Burn Law. For more information please visit the Department of Forestry website.

1930s Historic School Renovation Project Community Input Session

Join us on Thursday, March 2 at 6 p.m. along with Moseley Architects for the kickoff community input session of the 1930s Historic School renovation design. Have ideas for what you think this building should be used for or how it should look? Let us know! The input session will be held in the New Kent County Administration Building Boardroom (12007 Courthouse Circle, New Kent).

County offices closed Monday for Presidents' Day

County offices will be closed on Monday, February 20, 2023 in observance of George Washington Day (Presidents' Day). Offices will reopen on Tuesday, February 21 at 8:00 a.m. County trash and recycling centers with Monday hours will be open.
