A Community Event

  1. Greater Lanexa Studio Tour

    2021 marks the 27th anniversary of the Greater Lanexa Studio Tour. The tour provides the public with the opportunity to view unique art and to make purchases from a group of local artists in their Lanexa studios. There are 20 artists demonstrating and selling their art at 8 locations. It is a free, self-guided tour and an opportunity to see excellent art right in your own back yard. Art lovers can expect to see displays of some of Virginia’s finest work including pastels, wood turning, jewelry, glass, pottery and more. Come join us for two days of demonstrations and discussions with the artists and their particular medium.

Farmers Market

  1. Fall Market at the New Kent Farmers Market

    @ the Market Pavilion

    The New Kent Farmers Market is open rain or shine, Saturday, October 30, 8am to 1pm, for our second of two Fall Markets. Location of the Market pavilion is 7589 New Kent Hwy, New Kent (at the roundabout at New Kent Hwy, or Route 249, and Vineyards Pkwy, or Route 106). Children's events and a food truck also at the Market. No pets are allowed under the Pavilion. All vendors must participate in growing/making the produce/products that they sell. Items permitted for sale are Virginia-grown fresh fruits and berries, vegetables, mushrooms, herbs, landscaping and vegetable plants, cut flowers, eggs, cheese, honey, and meats. All products must be in accordance with Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) guidelines. Baked goods and other value-added products (such as jellies, jams, preserves, pickles, and roasted coffee) prepared by the vendor according to VDACS standards may also be sold. The vendor is responsible for all required licenses and certifications.
